Meet the panelists: Rebecca, Harrison, Lizzie
Becca is studying business with a focus on social impact at the Wharton School and international studies with a focus on Spanish and urban studies in the College of Arts and Sciences. In summer 2020, Becca interned on the Strategic Initiatives team at the global non-profit TechnoServe, completing an internal consulting project focused on tech adoption. In 2019, she worked at Penn’s Center for High Impact Philanthropy, providing guidance on impactful giving in the realm of global mental health. Becca then completed a semester abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina before serving as a counselor at the WiSci Girls STEAM Camp in Estonia. In summer 2018, she worked as a research assistant at EGADE Business School in Mexico studying sustainability reporting and B-Corporations.
Harrison is senior from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania pursuing a Bachelor's of Arts in Economics at the University of Pennsylvania. Harrison is actively involved in several student run investment clubs and will be working as a Global Markets Analyst for Societe Generale. Harrison's interests include current events, tennis, and hiking.
Lizzie is a senior from Chicago, Illinois in the Wharton School of Business. She is pursuing a Bachelor's in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Management. Lizzie is an active member of the UPenn community serving as Class President for 3 years in a row, President of the Shabbatones Jewish Acapella Group, researcher for Adam Grant, and member of Sigma Delta Tau. Work Experience: I got my PhD in history from Boston University in 2020. I have worked as a researcher and writer for a Boston-based policy center and am a freelance editor.
My Admissions Story: I remember the admissions process as a time to imagine possible futures (where to live? what to study? who to meet?), though am happy to report (as you can see from my bio) that few of those decisions were set in stone. So have fun and enjoy the ride!
