Meet the panelists: Nikhil, Durya, and Philip
Nikhil is a junior from Brookfield, WI studying Biomedical Science. His goal is to attend medical school, and is also interested in MD/MBA combined programs. Nikhil conducts undergraduate research in a dietary oncology lab, participates in a business consulting program, and started a non-profit tutoring organization in his hometown of Milwaukee. Outside of school, he enjoys playing basketball, photography, and thrift shopping.
Durya is a 3rd year studying a dual degree in biological sciences and public affairs with a minor in pharmaceutical sciences. She will receive an MD/MBA degree after graduation to pursue a critical care specialty before working in hospital administration. Durya recognizes the need for healthcare globally and intends to utilize her dual degree to make political policy efforts through activism, lobbying, and governmental involvement to improve the quality of care for patients in the United States and beyond. Her dream job would be to work with Doctors without Borders as an Intensivist, while also planning on running for a public servant political office to voice the problems and opinions of the greater public. In her free time, Durya enjoys spending time with her family, organizing social justice movements, teaching Tae Kwon doe, doing parkour, and traveling the country to speak.
Philip is a senior from Solon, Ohio, a suburb on the East side of Cleveland. He is pursuing a major in Marketing, and is enrolled in the Honors Integrated Business and Engineering program. He is getting other minors in Business Analytics and Social Psychology. Philip is a Lead Group Fitness Instructor for RecSports and a huge advocate for living life in motion. He is also the Chief Editor for Scarlette Magazine, the fashion magazine on campus. Outside of school, he enjoys anything from exploring Columbus to a movie night with friends.
