Description

Ask a Purdue University admissions officer questions about what it takes to get admitted to Purdue, their application process, academics, and more.

Purdue has seen limited campus visits and tours due to the coronavirus outbreak, and many families are missing out on the opportunity to learn about the college first hand from admissions staff on campus. Taylor will start the session with an in-depth overview of Purdue, covering topics ranging from admissions to academics to campus life. In the second half of the session, she'll open the floor to an audience Q&A session and answer your questions about Purdue admissions, life on campus, and more.

Q&A Participant

Taylor Patterson is a proud Purdue alum and has been on the Purdue Admissions team since 2017. She believes she gets the best of both worlds being a regionally based counselor in Southern California while staying connected to her Midwest roots. She enjoys any and all outdoor activities and trying new recipes.

Work Experience: I have worked as a research scientist in cardiology, including research developing models to study the heart using stem cells - one of which is going to the International Space Station in 2022! While not as exiting, I have also worked in the health insurance industry.

My Admissions Story: I found an advisor I trusted and used their advice and any help they offered. Only good things came from having an extra set of eyes to look at essays and complete applications. The key for me was to find that person early on, and build that advisor-advisee relationship.
